Facebook Groups and Pages (2026)

When you click the group link, Facebook opens the group page and shows a 'Join Group' button. Public groups approve you instantly, while private or admin-approved groups pass your request to a moderator for review.

A link fails in three cases: (1) the admin archived or deleted the group, (2) a privacy change made the link invalid, (3) your account is blocked in that group. We check the groups in our list regularly, and you can report a broken one through the form on its detail page.

Your posts show according to the group type: in a public group anyone can see the content, while in a private group only members can. You can manage profile privacy under Settings > Privacy and also limit the audience each time you share a post.

A reliable list meets three criteria: (1) entries reviewed by an editor, (2) regular removal of closed or changed group links, (3) groups sorted by topic. In directories that miss these, most links are dead or spam redirects.

Click 'Add for free' in the top menu and submit your group name, description, category, and group link. An editor reviews it within 24 to 48 hours, and submissions with unsuitable content or fraud are rejected.

In a public group the posts and member list are visible to everyone, the group appears in search, and joining is usually instant. In a private group the content is visible only to members, the group shows up less in search, and membership usually needs admin approval.
